You should be able to buy groceries, products, and services without having to worry about your personal information being used to determine the price you ultimately pay. But companies are not prohibited from surveillance pricing, which uses your personal information – such as your location, shopping history, and web-browsing history – to set an individualized price for you, or deny certain discounts.
